Newcastle United are interested in signing Robin Gosens in the January transfer window.
According to
TuttoMercatoWEB, the Magpies have moved in recent hours to sign the Atalanta left-back.
Reports claim, Eddie Howe has offered Gosens €3.5m-a-year (£56k-a/w) to convince him to leave.
The wage is very important as he earns £22k-a/w at the Gewiss Stadium, yet the Toon offer a deal 2.5-times his wage.
However, talks between the two clubs are yet to get off the ground.
Ex-Germany boss Joachin Low once said this about the 27-year-old German via
Standard.
“I don’t know if it was the game of a lifetime for him,” said Low.
“Maybe he still has to play that. But an amazing performance from him. He worked very hard and on top of that, he was a constant threat up front, as well.”
