Ajax have one of the world’s most famous football academies. There is a long line of players to have made their name at the Dutch club before moving on to bigger things. The Amsterdam-based club continues to churn out some of the most exciting talents in world football today and everyone are talking about Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie De Jong.
However, alongside famous football academies of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus there are also an academy of Manchester City.
City have established one of Europe’s leading football academies over the last decade. Beginning in 2010, their Platt Lane training complex was overhauled with state-of-the-art facilities and in 2014, the club opened a new 5,000 seater Academy Stadium for their youth teams to use.
Jadon Sancho, Denis Suarez and Brahim Diaz have all featured for Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
Now, the club have enough high profile former academy prospects to field a starting XI - and it's one that's worth around £300 million in today's market.
