Why N’Golo Kante missed Man City clash

Chelsea were handed a massive blow in their Premier League clash with leaders Manchester City after N’Golo Kante was not named in the matchday squad. The 26-year-old has been the engine for the Blues since his move to Stamford Bridge ahead of last season, being one of the key reasons for Antonio Conte's side clinching the title. Reportedly, the Frenchman was not able to make the match due to illness. The illness is not expected to be serious for the central midfielder and Chelsea will be hoping that he should be back against Crystal Palace, Barcelona in the Champions League and Leicester City in the FA Cup. Manchester City had a 1-0 victory at Chelsea that put Pep Guardiola's team on top of the Premier League table on goal difference.
