Arsenal FC has officially confirmed that the Gunners are set to play against Barcelona at the Camp Nou in their annual Joan Gamper trophy on Sunday, August 4 at the Camp Nou.
The Joan Gamper Trophy is an annual friendly football match held in August, which is hosted by Barcelona at the Camp Nou and is named after Joan Gamper, a founding member, player, and president of the club.
The friendly match is expected to be Arsenal’s final pre-season game before their Premier League season begins away to Newcastle United on August 11.
Unai Emery’s side would be only the second English club to take part in the competition in its current two team format. Manchester City took part in the match in 2009.
