Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hits back at ex-teammate Gary Neville over Manchester United criticism

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit back at former teammate Gary Neville's criticism over the club's recent years' recruitment. The Red Devils have been defeated 2 - 0 by the Premiere League leaders Liverpool. They are sitting on the 5th place of the league table, having a 30-point gap with the Reds. However, Solskjaer thinks that despite the defeat they had seen progress at Anfield. He said: "For me now, we've lost to Liverpool, a team you all say are fantastic and we've been in the game until the last kick of the ball. Of course we're disappointed after losing the game, we don't want be behind them in the league but there were signs there we are on the right track. Now is not the time to speak about recruitment. We're looking to playing Burnley now. We're always looking to improve the squad and the club but now is not the time for Gary and that discussion." United are going to face Burnley tomorrow in the league and Solskjaer admits many Red Devils fans will not be delighted with the team's current state. "You can look back at history and, of course, we know we're not where we want to be, should be and historically have been. It's just down to us now to work better. I've been here 13 months, my experience with the players we've brought in has been good, so no complaints whatsoever," the manager added. Source: Mirror
