Christian Pulisic has endured a slow start to the season and is still bedding in, but according to Owen Hargreaves, the American was ‘absolutely magnificent’ for Chelsea when he came off the bench against Ajax on Wednesday.
The Chelsea star came on for Willian in the second half in Amsterdam and made an assist for Michy Batshuayi.
“Pulisic is a really good player, technically,” former England midfielder Hargreaves said on BT Sport.
“He probably hasn’t had the game time he would have liked, but on the weekend he was brilliant and he came on in this game and he was terrific. Pulisic was absolutely magnificent.
“Every time he touched the ball, something really good happened, and that is really good for Frank and he is another asset. Obviously [Callum] Hudson-Odoi is another brilliant young player, and they have lots of good assets there, to go with your Pedros and your Willians.”
