Pakistan Olympics 2024 schedule

Olympic enthusiasts are eagerly counting down the days until the highly-anticipated Paris Olympics 2024 kick off, with just over a year remaining. Scheduled to commence on July 26 and conclude on August 11, 2024, this sporting extravaganza is poised to deliver an electrifying and memorable experience for fans worldwide.

In their nineteenth appearance in the Olympics, Pakistan will have 3 competitors in total. One male athlete will compete in athletics and others were qualified for shooting.

Athlete Event
Arshad Nadeem Men's javelin throw
Gulfam Joseph Men's 10m air pistol
Ghulam Mustafa Bashir Men's 25m rapid fire pistol

Pakistani athletes in track and field successfully met the qualification criteria for Paris 2024, either by surpassing the direct qualifying thresholds (or achieving the required time for track and road races) or by securing a position in the world rankings, in the specified events (with a maximum of three athletes per event).

The South Asian marksmen also secured allocated spots in various events through their performance at the 2022 and 2023 ISSF World Championships, the 2023 and 2024 Asian Championships, and the 2024 ISSF World Olympic Qualification Tournament.

Pakistan has a rich history in the Olympics, with a particular focus on field hockey. The country made its Olympic debut in 1948 and quickly established dominance in field hockey, winning gold in their inaugural appearance. Pakistan went on to claim three consecutive gold medals from 1948 to 1956 and has remained a formidable force in international hockey, though their success in other Olympic sports has been more limited.

The schedule for the Paris 2024 is yet to be revealed but you can follow this article for more information.
