Patrick Vieira has revealed that it's still 'too early' to start talking about Cheikhou Kouyate and other players' contract.
Kouyate's current deal at Crystal Palace expires this summer, and
reports previously stated that the club are currently working on it.
However. when asked whether he would like to keep the 32-year-old beyond his current deal, Vieira answered on Monday. (via

“We are in a situation where it is too early to talk about what will happen with Cheikhou or some of the players,” said the Palace boss.
“I have a really good group to work with and he is part of that group. I want to go through those difficult moments - the number of games we are playing - I don't want any distraction.
“He knows all the good I think of him but our main focus is to try to go as far in the FA Cup and get those wins we need in the Premier League, then we will talk about contracts, but at the moment it is not the right time.”
“He gives you the balance, He wins so many balls, can stop the counter-attack, brings physicality. He’s the one to win the ball and his first pass is always good." he then added.
“He has the physical presence we want in the Premier League - the competitiveness and physicality - and his experience is what we need.”
