Paul Pogba explained slow penalty run-up

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has admitted that he was ‘lucky’ to score against Everton after his penalty was parried back into his path by Jordan Pickford. Speaking about his goal to Sky Sports, the midfielder said: “I was lucky. “The important thing is it went in and I scored the goal - good for us and me. “After we carried on and had other chances, most important thing was the win.” Questioned on his bizarre run-up, Pogba replied: “I always try and destabilise the keeper, maybe they know how I take penalties. “Maybe I should practice to change it, if the keepers know my step." Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has spoken out on Pogba’s penalty technique: “He’s a better penalty taker than myself!” “He has the courage to take, Pogba wants to take and I’m happy with that. Maybe he has to change his approach, but I don’t want to change his mental approach."
