Paul Pogba rejected Manchester United’s attempts to sit him down for contract talks last January, according to Marca.
Spanish publication Marca claim the club were keen to extend his deal which expires in June 2021 but Pogba and his camp were not open to negotiations.
Pogba was unsettled at Old Trafford when Jose Mourinho was a manager and he has come under the spotlight once again after he revealed it was his dream to play under Zinedine Zidane.
The France International is still keen to move to Madrid and his agent Mino Raiola has told Madrid about the midfielder’s intention to quit United and secure a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that Raiola has spoken to Madrid’s hierarchy twice in the last few weeks and has made Pogba’s desire clear.
