Paul Scholes believes it would be a "great achievement" for Tottenham to finish fourth in the Premier League and winning the Carabao Cup. Jose Mourinho has faced plenty of criticism in recent weeks at Spurs, with Tottenham dropping out of the Europa League after an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb, having won the first leg 2-0 in north London. “I think he is doing alright, isn’t he? Only three points off the top four and in the final of the League Cup," he said, speaking to the Webby & O'Neill YouTube channel. “Ok, they had the disappointment I suppose in the Europa League, which is something Tottenham should be aspiring to win. “I think he has done alright, but that’s the club he is at now. He’s not at a club where he is expected to win things, he has done brilliant jobs wherever he has been, most of the time. "You think at Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Chelsea, it didn’t quite work out at Manchester United as he would have hoped, but he is the last person to win a trophy here [at United], which was the Europa League. That’s not something United should be aspiring to though." Scholes reckons that finishing in the top four and reaching a cup final would represent a successful season for Mourinho and Tottenham. “It is Tottenham, what do you expect? Finish in the top four, maybe win a league cup of an FA Cup, I don’t think he can do much more than that," he said. “I expect them to try to challenge to win a cup and try to finish in the top four, but that is the level he is at now. To finish fourth and win a cup. I think that would be a great achievement for Tottenham."
