Paul Scholes praises three Manchester United stars after Aston Villa win

Scholes singled out three players for their standout contributions in Manchester United's latest win over Aston Villa.

The Red Devils secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, earning praise from club legend for their performance. The return of Casemiro, Harry Maguire's impressive performance at both ends of the pitch, and Scott McTominay's impactful displays off the bench.

Rasmus Hojlund's goal, assisted by Maguire, gave United a well-deserved lead at halftime. Despite Douglas Luiz's equalizer for Villa, McTominay sealed the win with a late goal, capitalizing on a superb cross from Diogo Dalot.

Scholes emphasized the significance of United's win, highlighting their improving position in the league standings. With United closing the gap on fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and remaining in contention for a top-four finish, there's optimism for Champions League qualification.

“Casemiro coming in is a big plus, the form of Maguire, in both boxes he was very good today, and McTominay has been a real threat when he’s come on. He’s making a big difference to the team," he said on Premier League productions, via Man Utd News

Manager Erik ten Hag will aim to maintain the team's winning momentum, with an upcoming fixture against Luton Town presenting another opportunity to continue their positive run in the league.
