In the game against Tottenham, Maurizio Sarri started Willy Caballero in goal after the incident with Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Carabao Cup final.
During the final Kepa refused to be substituted as the team lost 4-3 on penalties to Manchester City.
Chelsea forward Pedro, who opened the score in the game against Spurs, spoke out on how the squad reacted on Maurizio Sarri's decision play Willy in goal.
"He had to make a decision. He has done that and we simply respect him because we always respect all the managers,"
Pedro told ESPN South America.
"We have always been with him. We have always talked about all the problems we have had. We have all talked to each other in the dressing room. We've also talked to Willy and we've talked to the coach.
"The truth is that we have solved all the problems and I think it has been a [small] incident rather than a serious problem. It always serves to learn. We are with Kepa, with Willy and with the manager. This is the path that we have to follow."
