Pep Guardiola left Bernardo Silva on the bench in their opening Premier League game against West Ham.
The Portuguese midfielder was one of the standout players for the champions last season and Guardiola explained his reasoning for leaving him on the bench.
Guardiola said: "Bernardo had done nothing wrong, but there was some little muscular problems."
City didn't need to call on Silva's services in the end, as they thumped the Hammers 5-0 in a dominant opening performance.
