Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola says that Jurgen Klopp's side can beat his side's points record.
The Citizens became the first side to collect 100 points in the Premier League in their record-breaking 2017-18 season.
Speaking during a press conference, Guardiola said: "Yeah it can happen. Records are there to be broken.
"We broke it when someone said we couldn’t and sooner or later it will be broken again.
"History speaks clearly about that. It is not easy to beat Liverpool, they have found a way to win games."
Liverpool are currently unbeaten in the Premier League and are leading the league table with 67 points.
The Reds are preparing to face Shrewsbury Town, while Manchester City will face Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday.
