Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given an injury update on the club players Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones ahead of the upcoming match against Wolves on Sunday.
De Bruyne has picked a groin injury during the Everton clash last week, so he will miss Sunday’s match as well as the Belgium national squad games for Euro 2020 qualifiers against San Marino and Kazakhstan next week.
Commenting on the Belgian’s absence in the clash, Guardiola said: “
Sometimes he doesn’t play. There was one game at Norwich. Sometimes he is a substitute but when he feels good he is good. After the international break, he will be ready. It’s not a big, big problem.”
John Stones will miss the clash because of the thigh problem he picked during the 3-2 win over Norwich.
Guardiola said Stones’ come back is very important as after Aymeric Laporte’s long-term injury, Blues were to play with one centre back.
The Englishman is expected to return in the match against Crystal Palace on October 19.
