Pep Guardiola believes Erling Haaland would have got bored with his future if given a chance to score six and more goals against RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening.
Manchester City celebrated a massive 7 - 0 victory over the Champions League opponents in the second leg of the Round of 16. Guardiola's team advanced to the next stage of the competition keeping their hopes to lift the Champions League trophy this season.
Haaland shined for the Citizens, equaling Lionel Messi's record by scoring five goals in the Champions League knockout stage clash. The Norway international could have scored more if only Guardiola didn't sub him off 30 minutes before the final whistle.
Being asked about his decision, Guardiola told the media after yesterday's meeting: "If he would have achieved that at 22 years-old, he would be bored in his future!"
