Pep Guardiola has reminded Manchester City's forwards that they need to score goals if they want to play under him. City have had uncharacteristically struggled this season in front of goal, with the five that they put past Burnley. If Mahrez's hat-trick suggested that the team could be on their way to doing that, the manager used the goal-fest to turn his attention onto Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and the rest of City's attackers as he made it plain that they must do their jobs. "The last week and few days have been much, much better. We saw him sharper when he was not before," Guardiola said. "Of course it can help us, especially for Riyad. For the other ones, Gabriel has to score goals, the others have to score goals, Sterling when he plays has to score goals. They haven't scored much and have to score goals. That is the reason why they are here and play upfront."
