Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has spoken out on Frank Lampard. Earlier today,
Chelsea confirmed that they have parted ways with their head coach Frank Lampard.
Lampard became the Blues head coach in 2019. During this season, it was expected that his side will have a successful season after the several signings that they made in the summer transfer window. However, Chelsea are currently 9th in the Premier League table with 11 points behind the league leaders Manchester United.
Speaking about Lampard, during a press conference via Simon Bajkowski, Guardiola said: "You have to win. People talk about projects & ideas but it doesn't exist. You have to win or you be sacked. I respect the Chelsea decision but a huge hug for Frank, hopefully when the lockdown is over I can go to a restaurant and see him again...
"We depend on results, not the way we play or philosophy. You have to get results and if you don't you will be replaced."
