Petr Cech is being lined up for a Chelsea return after the Arsenal goalkeeper retires as a player this summer.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believes the 36-year-old can help build a stronger team competitive to rival with Liverpool and Manchester City.
According to the Telegraph, Cech could be part of a new-look advisory team at Stamford Bridge, where former technical director Michael Emenalo has yet to be replaced since resigning in November 2017.
Cech could be given a new role covering parts of Nigerian Emenalo's brief.
He was with Chelsea for 11 glorious years after joining from Rennes in 2004.
In all, Cech won the Premier League and FA Cup four times apiece before moving to the Emirates in 2015.
