Two Years Ago Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp advised Philippe Coutinho that he had the choice between being a legend in red or an also-ran elsewhere. Now, the Brazilian is struggling to impose himself at Barcelona. Back in 2017, Klopp said to Coutinho: "Stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour. “Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more.” The former Liverpool star has not scored a league goal since October and has cut an increasingly forlorn figure in recent weeks.
