Player Unai Emery sold suggests he'd love to return to Arsenal now, with Mikel Arteta in charge

Nacho Monreal has revealed he would love to be playing for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. The Spain professional left the Emirates Stadium for Real Sociedad in the summer of 2019, when Unai Emery was in charge of the club. Monreal used to play with Arteta, before the Gunners current coach retired, while now the 34-year-old is happy to see his former teammate in the role of Arsenal manager. Moreover, he would like to return to North London. “I would have loved to have played under Arteta,” he said. “I spoke to Héctor about that. I had him as a teammate and I would have loved to see him as a coach; there’s that curiosity in me. “But I chose another path and came to San Sebastián. I’m happy for me and him because things are going well.”
