English top-flight football returns this weekend with intense fixtures, but I did my best to select at least five players to engage in certain sporting activities.
I have selected five players to produce a certain number of shots and shots on target based on their preview performances, but you do have to understand that these predictions are not fixed.
Premier League Matchday Eight Player Specials
Check out my player specials predictions for Premier League's matchday eight fixtures.
Bournemouth vs Arsenal
Kai Havertz produced seven shots against Southampton last time out and had seven shots against Leicester City as well. What are the chances he won't get at least three against Bournemouth for 2.10 odds? Very slim.
BET ON VBET: Kai Havertz over 2.5 shots
Manchester United vs Brentford
Pinnock had three shots against Wolves last time out. He also registered three shots against Manchester City away from home. So what are the chances he doesn't get at least one shot against Man United for 2.20 odds?
BET ON VBET: Pinnock over 0.5 shots
Ipswich Town vs Everton
Dwight McNeil is fond of shooting from range, and if Everton need a player to score from any position, then it has to be McNeil. The midfielder had two shots against Newcastle, but then before that, he scored twice against Crystal Palace. His ability to shoot from range and hit the target made me think this lad can get at least one shot on target vs Ipswich for 2.12 odds.
BET ON VBET: McNeil over 0.5 shots on target
Fulham vs Aston Villa
Anderson Joachim is a defender for Fulham. He loves getting on the end of set-pieces. He may have blanked against Man City, but in his previous two games before the Man City, he produced three shots against Newcastle and one against Nottingham away from home. What are his chances he doesn't get at least one shot against Villa for 1.99 odds?
BET ON VBET: Joachim over 0.5 shots
Newcastle United vs Brighton
Burn sometimes takes free-kicks for Newcastle United, but assuming he doesn't, he always tries to get on the end of set-pieces. Burn is averaging one shot per game, including in the 1-1 draw against Man City. He plays at home, so what are his chances of getting at least one shot for 2.10 odds?
BET ON VBET: Burn over 0.5 shots
Understand that shots don't necessarily mean they have to go on target. Any goal attempt is counted as a shot, whether blocked, deflected, or hit the crossbar, but shots on target must be on goal.
