Liverpool are preparing to face Brighton in an away Premier League game on Tuesday, July 7.
Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp gave a press conference where he spoke out on Brighton, Premier League medals, and more.
On Brighton
"They are a really good football team what they have done in the last season is incredible. Implementing a proper football style. He is doing a really good job there. They changed their approach since lockdown. So we don't know exactly what we will face. We need to be ready for that. After that Burnely, Arsenal, Chelsea all fighting."
On drinks break
"It is a very good idea. The guys on the Tour de France use drinks when needed not just when it is sunny. I like it from a sports fans point of view it's good. I don't think it will be like this after for next season but maybe it will be.
"It's really good. It's for the players not the coaches. I have 10 seconds to speak to them so it is not coaching."
On Premier League medals
"I am not sure they are little (the contributions made by staff). If we didn't have Mona Nemmer during lockdown I am sure the majority of our players would die of starvation. If Korny hadn't done the job he did the players would have come back 5 kilos heavier.
"The medal you get here (points to heart) so its not important. We will find a way to show how much we appreciate what everybody has done."
On Elliott, Jones and co
"The biggest plus for young players is time. But the moment they lose patience is the moment things go not how they should. We try to help them as much as they can to become the best players they can be. I really like that these boys have committed their future. Our Academy is producing some great players in the past few years."
On local players
"We try. What we want to be is the sport for everybody with a Scouse soul. We want to be of course if you love football and are talented we want you to be here. We have to show perspectives. It is really nice the boys are so close to it. That Trent made it and the three others are close to it. It is a good sign for the kids around."
On Scousers in the team
"That's always the plan. One is education. The other is showing education and training works.
"They are so humble and hard working. The perfect scenario is that we have these role model professionals around. If the boys follow this path with their talent they will have proper careers. They need luck injury wise. The dream is to have all the boys (from the academy). The dream is to have a team full of Scousers."
More on youngsters
"Neco make exactly the same steps as Harvey and Curtis. It is a little bit easier for him to have minutes than it is for example Harvey. Who has made really good steps and is unbelievable. The more players you can produce yourself is better it saves you money. Whatever we can save out there in the crazy transfer market that helps. I'm so happy with the two boys' new contracts. We are here for preparing careers until the boys are ready to play week in, week out. I proved in the past at Dortmund and here it is not about how old you are but how good you are."
On Rhian Brewster future
"The plan with Rhian we will talk to him and not here. It was clear his situation was different to a lot of the boys here. They really wanted him at Swansea and that is important. Rhian shows his talent is clear. How it is next year we will talk about it with him."
