Liverpool will face off Arsenal in their third Premier League clash. The only two teams with a 100 per cent record at the start of the new season meet at Anfield.
Ahead of the game, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp faced the media.
Klopp happy to have a full week to train before playing every three days.
“We believe in training, hopefully, you will see the benefits,” he said. “It’s about attacking, it’s about defending. We needed to show 100% attention in all sessions and that’s what the boys showed.”
The Reds manager looking forward to Anfield game: “
We said at the start of the week it was an important week and we had to be 100% concentrated and the boys did that. Arsenal are a very very strong opponent. It's Anfield, it's us. I'm looking forward to it.”
Klopp does not know when Alisson will be back.
“I had lunch with him today, at least he can eat,” the German said. ”
There’s no date in my mind, nobody asked. He was on crutches, they’re not there. He can train properly.”
Asked if there’s anything to report on Dejan Lovren potentially leaving, Klopp replies: “
Surprisingly, no. No comment on Lovren. A potential transfer or not, I don’t want to talk about it.”
Arsenal boss Unai Emery said, that he does not want to face Liverpool at all and Klopp responded to his comments: “
It's not what he thinks, he makes a joke! We can't make a serious question about it. We want to be the team nobody wants to play against.”
