Liverpool are preparing to face Tottenham in an away Premier League game on Thursday, January 28. Currently, the Reds are 5th in the league table with 34 points, meanwhile, Spurs are 6th with one point behind Jurgen Klopp's side.
Ahead of the game, Klopp has given a press conference where he spoke out on injuries, Lampard, and more.
Liverpool manager spoke out on Frank Lampard and said that it was a tough decision to sack him. Lampard was relieved from his managerial duties at Chelsea on Monday. Thomas Tuchel was appointed as his replacement.
On Injuries
"No new [injuries]. Hendo and Joel trained y'day with the team fully. Like always we have to wait and see overnight but they trained."
On Spurs
"When I arrived, Spurs was most talented squad. Incredible, young...Kane, Lloris, Alli, Eriksen, Dier, Lamela, Davies, Alderwiereld. All young and good. They came 2nd that year.
"I arrived with a different squad and had to change things. It was hoe the situation was."
On Chelsea/Tuchel
"I am not sure I need to give public advice. Don't have his English number. I was lucky with the clubs I was at. At Mainz, Dortmund and LFC the same. I got the time because owners thought we did the right stuff and knew it takes time."
"How many coaches Chelsea had in 15 years? You are successful or you are out. I have nothing to do with that. Plenty of times I was lucky with my clubs. For Frank, everything will be fine. The football people saw it and say there's a clear plan. He's a young manager."
On defending the title
"We are different [from last season]. Time changes, everything changes, new players in. People will say it's worse but it's not true, you cannot judge only for the short-term result. We make decisions for the long-term so the club will benefit. We'll give everything.
"This club and team have the potential to fight for the title, so we will try and see."
