PSG's benched striker set for sensational switch to Arsenal on a budget

Arsenal is actively in search of a new goalscorer, prompted by underwhelming performances from various forwards at the Emirates Stadium this season. This has led them to consider a Paris Saint-Germain striker who might be dissatisfied with his current situation.

Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus have faced challenges in securing a consistent role in Arteta's central forward position this season, raising concerns about the team's offensive effectiveness. Gunenrs, currently holding the fourth position in the league table, trails five points behind the league leaders, Liverpool.

According to The Express, via PSG Talk, Arsenal are exploring the possibility of acquiring Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain. Despite arriving in the French capital last summer, the attacker has struggled to secure regular playing time as a striker.

The report suggests that Ramos could emerge as an alternative target later in the summer transfer window, as opposed to pursuing Victor Osimhen from Napoli and Ivan Toney from Brentford. The latter options are expected to command transfer fees exceeding £100 million.

Given Financial Fair Play restrictions, Arsenal are being cautious in their spending. Hence, the board is open to cost-saving opportunities, making someone like Ramos a potentially favorable option.
