Former Aberdeen striker Noel Whelan claims it will cost at least £35million to prise Odsonne Edouard from Celtic.
Edouard was named player of the month for January, his second such award of the season.
The French forward has scored 24 goals this term.
Whelan has claimed “a lot of Premier League clubs” will be looking to sign the 22-year-old.
“I think that’s probably about right, that £35-40 million mark, absolutely. He’s been fantastic for Celtic, he seems to have everything you want from a striker – he can run in behind, he’s got good height to him, he’s strong, he can turn,” said Whelan.
“He’s got a bit of pace, he certainly knows where the goal is, and he can take free-kicks as well. He’s a player that I’m sure a lot of clubs will be looking at come to the end of the season. I’m sure that a lot of Premier League clubs will be looking at him, but it will take a big offer to prise him away from Celtic, that’s for sure.”
