Rafa Benitez unveiled as manager of Chinese Super League outfit

Rafa Benitez has been unveiled as the new manager of Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang, following his recent departure from Newcastle United. The Champions League winning boss has penned a huge £12million-a-year deal with the club. Benitez walked away from a £6million a year contract offer after he completely lost patience with Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley. “I wanted to stay, but I didn’t just want to sign an extended contract, I wanted to be part of a project,” he said. “Unfortunately, it became increasingly clear to me that those at the top of the club did not share the same vision.”
