Rafael Nadal admits he enjoys the challenges of playing against Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. However, insists it is more about the “different challenge” they offer.
The 19-time Grand Slam winner has enjoyed a great rivalry with Federer and Nadal. They have formed the Big Three between them as they have shared 56 majors between them.
Nadal was asked about his favourite opponents during a Facebook Q&A session to announce the renewal of his Kia sponsorship deal.
“My favourite opponents are one that I win against normally,” he replied. “I enjoy the challenges to playing against Roger of course, against Novak too, against Andy [Murray], against David Ferrer. I think there are a lot of great opponents and everyone gives you a different challenge and you need to adjust your game to be competitive. I don’t have a favourite opponent, I just enjoy the fact that every single day we compete against a different one and you need to adapt everything.”
