Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has aimed a light-hearted dig at Garry Neville over his comments about the City star.
Neville believes Sterling’s impressive transformation is down to the coaching he is receiving from Pep Guardiola, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Speaking ahead of Man City's impressive win against Tottenham on Monday, the United legend said: "Look at Raheem Sterling, who I don't think has (Anthony) Martial's talent, and his transformation over the last 12 months and why he is scoring 18, 20 goals a season. That's the coaching Pep Guardiola has put into him.
"They have to invest in him (Martial) and I'm sure they are. Jose Mourinho wants a team that is ready to win the league now and Martial isn't ready, but he can actually become a top player over the next two, three years like Sterling has done."
However, it seems Sterling was not happy with the analysis from Neville and believes he deserves credit for the role he has played in his transformation.
Sterling posted an Instagram story on Monday which read: 'But the transformation on his game in the last twelve months is from coaching!!! The disrespect from G Nev' followed by four laughing emojis.
