Ralf Schumacher: "Vettel’s options are Ferrari or Hamilton swap"

Ralf Schumacher claims, Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel must either commit to the team or swap seats with Lewis Hamilton. Vettel has yet to decide whether he will be staying with Ferrari next season. The German was reportedly offered a one-year deal by the Scuderia for 2021 but he turned it down. He has been linked to a move to McLaren while Mercedes could also be in option. Former driver Ralf Schumacher has all but ruled out Vettel heading to McLaren. “If he commits himself to Ferrari, then that’s the way it will be,” Schumacher told Sport Bild. “Switching back from Ferrari to another team is always difficult in Formula 1. Ferrari has a special relationship with its drivers. f he feels the support of the team, the subject of money should simply play a secondary role for the time being. “If he achieves his goals this year, he can easily ask for more money afterwards. Otherwise, the only option for Sebastian would be to swap cockpits with Lewis Hamilton. Then he would get a car that he knows he can become World Champion in right away.” Source: PlanetF1
