Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has spoken out on Scott Wright following Rangers' 1-1 draw with St Johnstone. Wright opened the scoring of the game at the 55th minute, while Liam Craig scored from a penalty spot at the 90+5 minute as Johnstone equalized.
During this season the 23-year-old has made overall 29 appearances in which he has scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists.
“Scott Wright has done everything he needs to do since he came in the door,” he said via
RangersTV. “He scored tonight, he showed flashes tonight throughout his performance.”
“We’ve been talking to him about getting numbers in his game and he’s got one. It should have been the winner, if we’d been better in our game management. It’s disappointing and it’s a shame that we haven’t taken three points, but all-in-all over the course of the 90 minutes, I’ve got no complaints with the scoreline.”
