Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is set to be out for three months and the player will use his time on the sidelines to fix an ankle problem.
The 22-year-old striker came on a substitute and then went off injured during United’s 1-0 home win over Wolves in last week’s FA Cup third-round replay.
The player picked up a back injury, which could keep him out for three months.
Rashford suffered discomfort due to a piece of floating bone in his ankle which dates back to a challenge put in on him by Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson 11 months ago.
The England international is now set for further surgery on his ankle.
