Ange Postecoglou has suggested that Pierre-Emile Højbjerg will replace Yves Bissouma in the upcoming clash against Fulham.
Spurs are set to face the rivals in the next Premier League clash on Monday, October 23, 2023. The club will be without Bissouma, who received a red card in the match against Luton Town before the international break, which led to his suspension for the upcoming game against Marco Silva's team.
In a pre-match press conference, Postecoglou confirmed that Højbjerg is the natural choice to replace Bissouma. Journalist Dan Kilpatrick's Twitter post verified Postecoglou's statement, where he described Højbjerg as a "readymade replacement" and the "logical choice" to fill in for Bissouma.
Højbjerg has had a limited role in Tottenham since Postecoglou took over as manager this summer. He hasn't started a Premier League game under the new boss, with his only start coming in the Carabao Cup match against Fulham.
The 28-year-old was a halftime substitute in the Luton game following Bissouma's red card, and the upcoming match against Fulham presents a great opportunity for him to make an impact.
