Real Madrid are reportedly quite angry with Martin Odegaard's development at Arsenal.
The 22-year-old Norwegian joined the Gunners on a temporary deal until the end of the season in January, amid frustration at a lack of opportunities in the Spanish capital this season.
Interviewed after the game by Norway’s
TV2, Odegaard refused to rule out a permanent switch to North London.
He said:
“You never know what is going to happen.
“But for now, I am just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team as much as possible.
“Then we’ll see what happens.”
But, according to
Defensa Central, those comments have angered Madrid officials and Los Blancos’ top brass are not pleased , as they have advised Odegaard not to talk about his future, nor his relationship with Zinedine Zidane.
Odegaard is on his sixth loan deal away from Madrid, but the club’s hierarchy believe he can still have a long-term future - despite Zidane’s own reticence to use him - particularly given their push to sign his international teammate, Erling Haaland.
