Real Madrid players do not want Santiago Solari to be the club’s permanent boss after Julen Lopetegui was sacked on Monday night after weeks of speculation about his future.
According to a leading Spanish Journalist Eduardo Inda, Solari is not well-liked in the Real Madrid changing room and they want Michael Laudrup or Guti to take over from Lopetegui.
Inda confirmed on El Chiringuito de Jugones that: "The players are very sympathetic to Solari but do not want him. The best reports do not come from the kids of Castilla and a few months ago they were about to dismiss him from Castilla. Are you going to take Madrid out of the crisis now?
"The players have been consulted and have the opinion of Chelsea's Spanish footballers. They have given two names: Guti and Laudrup."
