Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left out of Arsenal’s squad for the Southampton clash.
According to the The Athletic, Aubameyang was given special permission by the club to fly to France in order to visit his mother and bring her back to London with him.The Gunners' captain was supposed to return on Wednesday, but stayed an extra night and flew back to the UK early on Thursday morning.
Although he still arrived in time for the training day, Arsenal felt he had taken advantage of their kindness.
The 32-year-old has undergone a test in France before his flight, but he needed a PCR test in England prior to returning to London Colney.However, the striker has now returned to training and is expected to be in the squad during the clash against West Ham.
