Liverpool have been given just weeks to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Werner has shown impressive perfomances with the German side, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists this season.
The Reds have been linked with the 24-year-old for a long time. The player himself is eager to join Jurgen Klopp's side.
According to Sport Bild,
as relayed by Transfemarkt, Werner has a release clause in his contract worth around €60million (£53million). It expires after June 15
th , so he could join his fellow striker Yussuf Poulsen in leaving the club this summer.
This means Liverpool have just 10 weeks to sign the forward amid coronavirus crisis.
As the Reds are looking for another attacking option for the sqaud, Werner could be a perfect addition. The transfer fee also fits to the Premier League club's budget, which may raise the possibility of the deal.
