Rio Ferdinand believes Pep Guardiola made clear mistakes with his Manchester City team selection against Lyon. Guardiola's side crashed out of the Champions League dramatically on Saturday night after a 3-1 reverse in the quarter-final. A big discussion point before kick-off was City's team selection, with Eric Garcia and Joao Cancelo starting in a new-look 3-4-3 system. However, Guardiola was forced to change that after an hour, introducing Riyad Mahrez, which made an instant impact. "I think he is going to have to have a look at himself, in terms of his team selection and the way he changed his formation," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
