Rio Ferdinand has rated Tottenham chances to reach the Champions League final after yesterday;s 1-0 loss to Ajax.
Donny van de Beek’s first-half goal was enough to clinch victory for Dutch outfit Ajax. And Mauricio Pochettino’s side will now have to overturn a one-goal deficit next week in the second leg match.
Asked whether Spurs were still in the tie, Manchester United legend Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I think so, 100 per cent. Their away form in this tournament shows they are capable of getting a result. It was professional and mature from Ajax. In the first half they played fantastic football. In Spurs defence, if you take 44 goals out of the side in Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, any team would suffer.”
