Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand was not happy with the displays of the club two defenders Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly, following the Premier League victory over Fulham last night.
The Red Devils beat the rivals 1 - 2, with Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba scoring the winning goals for their side.
United are currently leading the Premier League table after their yesterday's successful match, however when analyzing the goal of the opponents, Ferdinand said on BT Sport at half-time:
"It’s disappointing. I think both centre-backs are at fault. Lookman, the most dangerous player in the whole Fulham team, they can both see him.
"The problem comes when, for some reason, Harry Maguire feels the need to get over to his left.
"I understand that if Shaw is going to go out to the full-back, I get that, but Shaw stays, he doesn’t go out there.
"What’s that done? It’s created a problem for the back-line, there’s a big space. For what? For Lookman to run into which he eventually does.
"My problem then lies with the other centre-back, Bailly, who doesn’t see it. He can see everything in front of him.
"He can see Lookman, he can see the space and he can also see his partner coming away from where the danger zone is, so he’s got a decision to make.
"He’s meant to cover, he doesn’t, his arms are out. Why are his arms out? I don’t understand why.
"There’s Lookman going. How you can not see that, react and smell the danger, it baffles me. I don’t understand, so for me, here, the two centre-backs are completely at fault."
On the contrary, ex-United man was delighted with Paul Pogba's performance. He added:
"I think today he [Pogba] was brilliant, he did both sides well, defended well but created chances, the big difference is that he is playing quick, not dilly dallying on ball, the efficiency he is playing well is amazing.
"I don't think Ole completely trusts him in the centre of midfield with the pace that some sides counter with, so he plays him out of those area, but in this game they felt they would dominate and so he can allow him to do it.
"One of the best when he is in this form. He loves the game, [he] wants to showcase his talent.
"I saw Pogba grow up, I saw his talent first-hand, I think he is capable of playing in the midfield [alongside Fernandes], if he has the players around him he can do it.
"He has not been as consistent as he would have liked [since signing in 2016], but right now he is one of the more important players.
"Top players use negative press as fuel. But the passion cannot be used if you are not playing, he is now."
