Rio Ferdinand believes that if Bukayo Saka performs well in the Champions League this season, he has the potential to become a 'world-class' player.
The former Manchester United legend has praised Saka, considering him one of the top five right-wingers globally. While fans have seen his impressive performances in the Premier League and for the England national team, Saka is about to make his debut on the grand stage of the Champions League next month at the Emirates Stadium.
“I don’t think there are many fullbacks who come off the pitch against Saka and go ‘easy days work’. He gives a hard days work, week after week and he has been doing that for two years solid," the ex-United man told Vibe with Five, via HITC.
“I think he is a tremendous footballer. But you can still see that there is an appetite to learn and bring more to the table. I think he is only going to get better. He has to be in the top five right-wingers in the world," he added.
Despite his rapid rise in the football world, Ferdinand admires Saka's determination to continue learning and striving for even greater achievements.
