Former Manchester Robin van Persie has explained what he wants to see from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, following the club's New year Day loss in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have started 2020 with a loss, in spite of being motivated after the club's winning game against Burnley on Saturday. Now the club will be focused on the FA Cup third round this weekend, and van Persie wants to see some changes in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's approach, quaestioning his smiling in the post-match intervew. He told BT Sport: "When I listen to Ole, he sounds like a really nice guy but I would like to see him with a bit more energy, sometimes angry. It's part of his job sometimes. I see him smiling now after a game like that. This isn't a moment to smile." However, Solskjaer's former teammate Rio Ferdinand confirmed the Norwegian forward has a similar approach in the role of a manager as he had during his playing time at Old Trafford. "You want a reaction in the changing room. There might be a different side to Ole in the changing room, I know he can be cut-throat and very cold. The things he said to other players when he was a player were very cutting and I'm sure he'll be like that as a manager," he added.
