Cole Palmer and England suffered a 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin.
Chelsea’s Player of the Season scored a stunning equalizer after coming off the bench, but Spain's Mikel Oyarzabal secured the win with a late goal.
Despite Palmer's impressive Premier League season with 22 goals and 11 assists, he didn't start any games for England, unlike Phil Foden, who faced criticism for his performances.
Spain's Rodri, named Player of the Tournament, praised Palmer, his former Manchester City teammate, calling him a "huge talent" and predicting he'll be a "top player in the next years."
"I know this guy (Palmer). Huge talent he is going to be. A top player in the next years. He put it in the corner (Palmer’s goal)," he said, via HITC.
