Roger Federer suggested he is looking at fitting the clay season into his 2020 plans.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner announced he will be representing Switzerland at the Tokyo Olympic Games next year but raised questions over how he will fit in the remaining tournaments.
While speaking to
CNN, the 38-year-old admitted a return to the French Open is a possibility.
“I just needed to take time and to speak with my wife, my team and listen to my heart. What did I really want to do?” Federer said in relation to the Olympic Games. “I had to figure out the schedule with clay, grass, US Open, hard courts and everything. How it’s going to all align.
“I knew I wanted to play at the Olympics but I didn’t know if I could do everything. I am not the youngest any more and I have to pick my moments but I just felt I can do it and I want to do it.”
