"Roger Federer is preparing to say goodbye in a big way" says two-time major finalist

Alex Corretja insists he would be surprised if Roger Federer “played many more years”. The former world No. 2 believes Rafael Nadal has “at least two more years” to win Grand Slams. “I would be surprised if he (Federer) played many more years,” Corretja said in an interview with Industria del Tenis. “I think Federer is preparing to say goodbye in a big way and getting ready to come back to compete with everything.” Nadal, 34, won the Italian Open in Rome last week and is a strong favourite to win his 14th French Open title. Corretja said of his Spanish compatriot: “Keep in mind that Nadal has at least two more years left and he will take advantage of them to try to add a Grand Slam. I see him qualified for it.”
