Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been handed a major boost ahead of the business end of the season.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been out of action since May, played a full 90 minutes for the first time in ten months.
The player ruptured the Achilles tendon in his left leg playing in a post-season friendly for Chelsea against New England Revolution.
Loftus-Cheek played a crucial role in Chelsea’s Under 23s 1-0 victory over Everton.
His return will provide Lampard with a massive boost heading into the final period of the season with Chelsea.
