Liverpool will be without Sadio Mane for the start of the Premier League season after he helped Senegal to reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations that will be played on August 9 against Algeria.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given all his players three weeks off following their international performances this summer and Mane will also be rested ahead of Premier League season.
Instead Klopp will call on Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino following their AFCON and Cop America exploits.
However, according to respected football writer Jack Sear, Mane will anyway play for Liverpool in the start of the campaign and have only a week’s holiday.
