Paul Pogba gave another lacklustre display in the 2-1 defeat at Molineux to Wolves. But his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defended his performance.
“Well, today he could have easily had an assist when the great play with him and Rom [Lukaku] so that’s just figures and numbers,” the Norwegian explained at his post-match press conference.
“Paul’s working as hard as any of the players in the team. Some days it just doesn’t come off.”
Next up, United face Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and Pogba will be available having served his one-match ban for getting sent off against PSG.
